So you might have heard that the sunny climate and less frightful winters of Catalonia have lured Thierry and me from Berlin to Barcelona.
We recently decided to take up residence in this fantastic Mediterranean metropolis and are now living at the northwest edge of Barcelona in Torrelles de Llobragat.
Covid brought so many changes for so many of us… and 2022 was a huge transitional year for me that it seems somewhat poetic that we also changed our residence and location.
First and foremost, if you haven’t heard, I am no longer exclusively selling or sailing one line.
In March of this year, I joined the Oasis Travel Network which allows me to now sell every cruise line, both rivers and oceans, as well as provide hotel and travel insurance assistance to my guests.
DNA Tours has always been my umbrella company over Friends of Dave Tours in Warnemünde and RiverCruiseKing.com for my river cruise journeys and will continue to be so in the future, simply with expanded services and offerings.
With 75 sea cruises and 65 river cruises under my belt, it has always been my extensive personal knowledge of Europe and Asia that led my guests to trust me to book their river cruise trips or to come with me on my escorted groups.
I have always been able to make my trips and those of my guests a touch more special with my local insight, special contacts, and personal tips. Now I will be able to even expand on that knowledge with my new residence in Spain!
Ironically, Covid opened the door to being able to sell all lines and I am thrilled to now have access to some of the best cruise lines and travel offers out there and I am eager to share them with you and help you with ALL your cruise needs.
As part of the Signature Network thru Oasis, I can offer my guests super rates, special onboard perks, increased online assistance and special extras. I simply will be doing it from Spain now instead of Germany and with Thierry’s assistance as my right-hand man!
He’s taking all the administrative duties off my hands so that I can get back to sharing my tips and creating memories for my guests.
Even better, since Friends of Dave in Warnemünde is still waiting for the Baltic cruise itineraries to come back to life, we will soon be able to offer tours in Barcelona! I am currently in talks with some of the top local guides to offer my guests fantastic tours in this incredible city.
It’s so exciting that now I can expand the adventures I offer to my guests beyond just one line to include all my favourites and some of the great new ones like Explora and Ponant or old faves like Oceania and Celebrity.
In addition to being able to help you book YOUR favourites, I have expanded my 2023 and 2024 escorted journeys to a combination of river and sea trips.
It’s still not too late to join my January 2023 Vietnam & Cambodia trip and I have 1 cabin left for my May 2023 Provence cruise.
In September of 2023, I will be offering a fantastic experience with Uniworld to sail the Rhine and Moselle rivers and in November I will be on Uniworld’s brand new Nile ship the Sphynx! If you’ve ever wanted to see Egypt and missed my trip earlier this year… come join us next November! We will also tour Jordan on the pre-trip and it will be an incredible experience.
In 2024 my exciting ocean adventures begin with the Galapagos on Celebrity Flora, my first ever Viking Ocean trip in May thru Norway to Iceland, with Oceania thru Ireland and Scotland in August, down the Peruvian Amazon with Uniworld in October, and my most incredible Christmas Market trip yet on the Main and Rhine Rivers on the Amadeus Cara in December with a GREAT pre-program in Frankfurt and Braunfels, my former homes.
I will continue to bring personalized and unique experiences to my guests and I can’t wait to help you plan your next trip!!!
