Travel Entry Requirements Current Requirements for Embarking River Cruises with AmaWaterways Updated: June 21, 2021 by AmaWaterways and reprinted with permission.
Important Notice:
AmaWaterways River cruise ships are like floating hotels sailing through national waterways. Ship Embarking Regulations are therefore set by the Entry Regulations of each European Union country.
To determine what documents you will need for your river cruise, please consult the entry details below based on the country you will be originally entering into the European Union.
Airlines also have specific documents (ex: Digital Passenger Locator) that must be completed before your flight. Please consult your airline’s website. You will be required to fill out AmaWaterways Health and Contact Tracing Questionnaire 7 days before departure and this information will be revalidated upon embarkation. A link to this form will be in your pre-cruise check-in documents.
All entry requirement information is evolving quickly and we will be updating this page on a daily basis.
We strongly encourage all our guests to be fully vaccinated at least 14 days (in the case of Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca or 28 days for Johnson & Johnson) prior to their sailing date. U.S. and Canadian guests require a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours for their return flight. AmaWaterways will be facilitating these tests on board our ships (guests will incur a nominal fee depending on the type of test required: RT-PCR or Antigen).
