Reconnect! Rejoice! Return to Europe!

Revenge travel is real, y'all. It's time to return to the rivers. Find out where, when, and how!

AmaWaterways has announced their return to the rivers, and I, for one, could not be more overjoyed and happy.

I have missed the feeling of calm beauty up on deck in the early mornings as my Ama ships glide through the water. I missed watching the mists rise as swans, and other residents of the waterways floated past as serenely as the scenery.

I missed the mountains rising to the skies next to me, castles nestled into the sides of cliffs like quiet sentinels, and witnesses to history whispering their secrets as I sipped my morning coffee and listened to the wind. All of these beautiful morning rituals I have come to love when sailing on AmaWaterways are returning this Summer. Below is a schedule.

July 3rd AmaDouro

Port wine tastings, standing on the Dom Luís I Bridge and looking down, sitting in the bars and cafes of Cais da Ribeira... it's all starting back with AmaWaterways on July 3rd!

July 21st AmaMagna

Apricot tasting, bike rides along the side of the Danube, twirling - dancing - and step jumping in the Mirabelle Gardens to Do-Re-Mi, visiting the Dachsund Museum in Passau, symphonies in Vienna, Sissi's palace after a lovely Sacher Torte in a traditional cafe. It is all starting back on the AmaMagna on July 21st.

July 22nd, 2021

Chill that rosé to the perfect temperature, get out some cheese and a baguette because the AmaKristina begins sailing the Rhone on July 22nd. Avignon, Lyon, Vienne, Tournon, and all the gorgeous vineyards and delicious little markets and tasting opportunities are waiting for your taste buds to return.

July 22nd, 2021

The City of Light awaits as Mona Lisa is again smiling, Sacre Coeur is re-opening its heart, the streets of Paris call your name, and the beauty along the Seine demands your attention. Giverny and Monet's Garden, Rouen and Joan's shrine, Honfleur's harbor, and Mont St. Michel have missed you. Luckily, you can again spend romantic moments and sail the Seine starting in July.

July 29th, 2021

Return to Bordeaux as the wines are calling. The stunning Château, the rolling hills full of vineyards and orchards, the gentle breezes of the Garonne will all cheer when you come back on July 29th. The AmaDolce will again sail seven nights roundtrip from the strikingly beautiful city of Bordeaux thru a region whose history and culture have inspired artists and philosophers, and chefs to create wondrous works of art for generations.

July 29th, 2021

As many of you know, the Rhine has a very special place in my heart. Not only did I live in the region for a decade when I first moved to Germany, but I have celebrated some beautiful events in connection with some of my best cruises.

My wedding celebration of 2019 will go down as one of the highlight memories of my life - as we were able to celebrate mini events as we sailed past the castles, went on Kölsch Pub crawls in Cologne, held bachelor nights in Amsterdam's red-light district bars and cafes, bike rides thru the parks and cobbled streets of Strasbourg where we also stopped in front of Thierry' former school (connected to the cathedral...literally). The Rhine has so much beauty and is so different in each section that I never tire of it. Now you can experience it all, too, starting back on July 29th.
